煙草在線據(jù)《太陽(yáng)日?qǐng)?bào)》報(bào)道編譯 英美煙草馬來(lái)西亞公司常務(wù)董事Datuk William Toh Ah Wah說(shuō)，由于消費(fèi)者對(duì)電子卷煙產(chǎn)品的興趣慢慢增加，2012年12月收購(gòu)了CN Creative公司的英美煙草公司，正在對(duì)電子卷煙市場(chǎng)進(jìn)行探索。
他在英美煙草公司于4月17日舉行的股東年會(huì)后對(duì)記者說(shuō)：“在全球范圍內(nèi)，有跡象顯示，人們樂(lè)意嘗試電子卷煙，因此，英美煙草公司最近收購(gòu)了一家位于英國(guó)的電子卷煙公司，這樣，我們就可以更好地了解這個(gè)業(yè)務(wù)部門?！?/p>
Datuk William Toh Ah Wah 說(shuō)：“我們（英美煙草公司）還沒(méi)有向市場(chǎng)推出任何電子卷煙產(chǎn)品。我們剛剛收購(gòu)了一家小公司，以嘗試和了解電子卷煙行業(yè)的跡象、特征和發(fā)展動(dòng)態(tài)?！?/p>
“在適當(dāng)?shù)臅r(shí)候，當(dāng)我們做好準(zhǔn)備時(shí)，我們可能會(huì)進(jìn)入我們認(rèn)為具有電子卷煙消費(fèi)發(fā)展?jié)摿Φ膰?guó)家市場(chǎng)。但在馬來(lái)西亞，我們目前還沒(méi)有計(jì)劃。”
CN Creative公司是一家位于英國(guó)的處于起步階段的公司。它專門從事非燃燒卷煙的開發(fā)與生產(chǎn)。這家公司有自己的研究與開發(fā)設(shè)施，在市場(chǎng)上已經(jīng)有幾個(gè)電子卷煙產(chǎn)品。
Malaysia: BAT Exploring E-cigarette Potential
British American Tobacco Plc (BAT Plc), which acquired CN Creative Ltd in December last year, is exploring the e-cigarette market as interests in e-cigarette products pick up among consumers, said British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Bhd (BAT) managing director Datuk William Toh Ah Wah.
"Globally, there are signs that people are willing to try out e-cigarettes and as a result, BAT Plc had recently acquired an e-cigarette company based in the UK (CN Creative) so that we can better understand this segment of the business," he told reporters after BAT's AGM yesterday.
"We (BAT Plc) have not launched any e-cigarette products in the market yet. We have just bought a small company to try and understand the signs, the characteristics and dynamics of e-cigarettes.
"In due course when we're ready, we will probably enter the e-cigarette market in countries where we believe there are potential for e-cigarette consumption. But in Malaysia, we have no plans at the moment," said Toh.
CN Creative is a UK based start-up company which specialises in the development and production of non-combustible cigarettes. The company has its own research and development facilities and has several e-cigarette products on the market. Enditem
