　　泰國(guó)健康促進(jìn)研究所主管Hathai Chitanont博士表示，丁香煙中芳香的丁香油成分使得吸煙者肺泡麻木，并促使他們更深地吸入煙霧，導(dǎo)致尼古丁成癮。

　　“第一次吸煙的人嘗試丁香煙時(shí)不會(huì)有被嗆的感覺(jué)，且吸入得更深?！彼f(shuō)。

　　“這被認(rèn)為危害更大，丁香煙應(yīng)該受到管制?！?/p>

　　據(jù)泰國(guó)蘭實(shí)大學(xué)副教授Sriratch Larpyai表示，丁香煙是從馬來(lái)西亞走私進(jìn)入泰國(guó)的，20泰銖能夠購(gòu)買(mǎi)4支，這樣的價(jià)格年輕人很容易就能負(fù)擔(dān)。

　　他表示，丁香煙有許多不同的味道，其中某些還含有“薄荷糖”成分，這樣的味道能給吸煙者帶來(lái)“美味的體驗(yàn)”。

　　同時(shí)，他還表示，丁香煙的包裝都非常吸引人，且“規(guī)格較小”（相比于其他卷煙）。一些丁香煙被命名為“超細(xì)支”，以“吸引女性煙民”。

Tobacco control meeting told kreteks "delicious"

　　Kreteks are becoming popular among Thailand's new smokers because they are tasty and do not hurt the throat, a seminar on tobacco control was told.

　　The aromatic clove oil used in kretek cigarettes helped make the smoker's air sacs numb, prompting the smoker to inhale deeper and become addicted to nicotine, Dr Hathai Chitanont, director of the Thailand Health Promotion Institute, was quoted as saying.

　　"First time smokers do not choke while trying out a clove cigarette and inhale deeper," he said.

　　"This is considered more dangerous and should be regulated."

　　The kreteks, which are said to be smuggled into Thailand from Malaysia, are widely available for Bt20 for four cigarettes; a price that young people find is easily affordable, according to Assoc. Prof. Sriratch Larpyai, of Rangsit University.

　　He said that kreteks came in different flavours and that some contained pieces of "mint candy", which made smoking them a "delicious experience".

　　Also, he said, the kreteks were sold in attractive packaging and were "smaller in size" [than other cigarettes, presumably]. Some were called "slim" to "attract women".
